NULS is an open source community-based blockchain platform from Singapore. The company was founded in September 2017 by Lin Yang and Lily Wang. NULS wants to put companies in the position to find an easier entry into the new technology through modular architecture and plug-and-play tools . So that you can build your own blockchain faster and more effectively without having to be too familiar with the matter. Companies don't host their applications on the main blockchain. The platform uses a network of sub-chains in a system with multiple blockchains. For the frame check the sub-chains be reported to the main chain, which in turn checks the block headers. The NULS blockchain uses a specially designed consensus algorithm called Proof-of-Credit (PoC) . The PoC is comparable in some points to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) . Here, node operators must also block tokens in order to set up a node. In contrast to the PoS, the PoC uses credit coefficients to calculate a credit rating for each node. For the transactions within the sub-chain, each company can determine which consensus they want to use. NULS also has its own virtual machine (NULSVM) , which is required to create smart contracts and applications. For the benefit of easier handling, the smart contracts can be written in different programming languages.
