Cosmos logo Cosmos - ATOM

Internet of blockchains. This is the main, marketing slogan of the Cosmos network, which describes what the network should become. To make it clear what Cosmos is, we need to look at the network architecture. At the core of the network is a blockchain called the Cosmos Hub. It is basically the center of the whole network, which ensures that the established rules ensuring the safety of the network are observed throughout the Cosmos ecosystem. The other parts are the zones. These are individual blockchains that belong to the Cosmos ecosystem and refer to the Cosmos Hub. These zones are monitored and verified by the Hub to prevent violations of network rules. And this is where the key value of the Cosmos network is. This allows the creation of many different blockchains that are interconnected, or can communicate with each other. If you have one token on the blockchain (in the zone), you can move it thanks to the interoperability between the blockchains.

How to stake Cosmos?

Cosmos is a so-called DPoS system. As with Cardana, a certain number of ATOM coins are required to validate transactions. Unlike Cardano, this system is less benevolent. Cosmos has an upper limit in the number of validators and that is the number of 300. In the foreseeable future, there may be a maximum of 300 validators in the network, which will continuously change according to the volume of stacked and delegated coins.
